Graham Timson, due to his retirement, has stepped down as managing director.
Jim Fox has been with Mayday Graphic Products for over 26 years, during which time he has amassed a wealth of knowledge of litho, digital & large & wide format printing, working closely with customers, who acknowledge him as ‘the go to person’ when they have a problem or want an unbiased option on equipment and printing products.
Over the past 16 years Jim has sought to add new equipment, products and suppliers to the company’s portfolio, which now boasts an impressive list of ‘all things print’, in particular large & wide format printers and medias headed by Richard Anderson, who has been made a director.
Jim Fox the new MD of Mayday, said: "I'd like to thank Graham for the opportunity to take over from him as the new managing director. We have worked together since Graham became MD when he took over from the previous owners John & Sue Buckingham in 2004. During that period Graham and I developed Mayday Graphic Products into one of the UK’s largest specialist suppliers of graphic art products, successfully steering the company through some extremely turbulent times, and I look forward to the future with immense optimism."Graham Timson said "I am pleased and confident to be handing over the reins of Mayday to Jim. He is the rightful successor, having demonstrated vigour and commitment throughout the years we have worked together. 'Time waits for no man' and for me it is the right time to retire, safe in the knowledge Mayday Graphic Products is well placed to move onto another phase."
Helen Timms who has been appointed General Manger from Office Manager said "I joined Mayday a year after Graham became the Sales Director and thought throughout that time, how satisfying it’s been to work for a progressive company, and to work for Graham in particular. 16 years is a long time in work and working with people you can relate to has certainly been a key benefit for me." - She continued "I'm very pleased that Jim is able to take over Graham's role and I know my colleagues and co-workers will do everything they can to support Jim, as will I."
